Uproot the Tree

Do you know what’s been planted in your Life?

The devil wants you frustrated, wasting time picking up rotten fruit that fell to the ground instead of uprooting the tree it came from.  Yes, UPROOT it.  Don’t cut it down.  Dig it up, chop it up and burn it.  Invest the time and energy it takes to get rid of the entire tree, and you won’t have to deal with that rotten fruit again. This tree doesn’t even bear good fruit - it’s rotten from the tree because the tree is rotten to the core.  It’s inedible.  And it’s annoying.

Have you been annoyed for too long by the “rotten tree” that has been growing on your land?  Uproot it!  Don’t let the size of the tree intimidate you.  It’s nothing but a weed with a big stem.  Ask God how and He will show you.  You can do it, because you won’t be working alone.  God works both with you and within you to help you do what you couldn’t do with your strength alone.

Jeremiah 1:10

See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms,

To root out and to pull down,

To destroy and to throw down,

To build and to plant.”

Luke 17:6

So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

While looking up pictures of mulberry trees, I saw a Pinterest link to an online article titled, “Why Mulberry Roots Cause Foundation Problems and What To Do About It.”  Click here to look at the roots on this thing! The evil, twisted roots of the trees the devil can plant in our Lives are the cause of many of the foundation problems we experience.  We can build only to watch our plans crumble to pieces. Faulty foundations fail.  But here’s the thing - these rotten trees don’t get planted as trees.  They got planted as seeds.  We must begin to see potential in all things, even the negative.  So as we uproot the rotten trees in our Lives, let’s also examine the seeds planted in the soil of our souls, so we can catch potential harm before it becomes yet another tree to uproot.  There’s wisdom in evaluation.  Vision isn’t only for the goals ahead of us.  It provides a higher perspective of all that’s around us.

Matthew 13:24-30

Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ”

(Tares are a type of poisonous weed called darnel grass that looks like wheat while growing but has no nutritional value to humans. In fact, it can cause nausea and dizziness if eaten. The dark seeds are boiled and used as fishing bait.). When mature, darnel grass remains upright (representing pride) while wheat bends low (representing humility).)

Matthew 15:13

But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.

Thank God for His grace and Wisdom! God has planted good things in your Life’s soil. Cultivate what’s good. Water it with His word, and thrive in His Presence.

Hope this helps.

Blessings on your journey.
